Editorial policy
Every page on Jackpot Predictions Kenya is drafted by its editorial team with AI writing tools from named primary sources, then run through automated checks for sources, the 18+ notice, promotional wording and operator links before it is published. This page says exactly what that sentence means in practice: which sources count, what is never written, how a page is checked, and who is responsible.
Sources that count
A statement about the law is written only from the primary text, and it names its section. The documents the site works from are:
- The Gambling Control Act, 2025 (No. 14 of 2025), Kenya Gazette Supplement No. 141, in the Government Printer edition hosted by the regulator; assented to on 7 August 2025, commenced on 26 August 2025.
- The Gambling Control (Licensing) Regulations, 2026 (L.N. 111), the Conduct of Gambling Operations Regulations (L.N. 112), the Foreign-Based Operators Regulations (L.N. 113), the Advertising Regulations (L.N. 114) and the Gambling Appeals Tribunal Regulations (L.N. 115), all gazetted on 30 June 2026.
- The Gambling Regulatory Authority's own website, for its contact details, its self-exclusion page and its list of licensed companies, each with the date it was read.
- The Income Tax Act (Cap. 470) and the Excise Duty Act (Cap. 472) in their revised editions, the Finance Act, 2026, and the Kenya Revenue Authority's published notices, for every tax figure.
- The Data Protection Act, 2019 and the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, for anything about personal data.
Where a figure cannot be found in a primary source, the rule is written without the figure and the gap is said out loud. Secondary reports, forums and other information sites are not sources, even when they are right.
What is never published
- Rankings, ratings, scores or lists of best operators.
- Bonus amounts, promo codes or any wording that invites a reader to bet, deposit or register.
- Hyperlinks to operators. A licensee is named as plain text only where a rule or the regulator's own list makes it necessary.
- Testimonials, winner stories or any first-hand claim of having played, deposited, won or lost.
- Predictions, picks or tips for any fixture, and any claim that a result is certain.
How a page is prepared
A page starts from one question and a short brief. The draft is written with the sources open, and each legal statement is tied to its section as it is written rather than afterwards. Arithmetic is worked in full on the page and labelled as an illustrative example wherever an assumption, such as equal chances per leg, stands behind it. The calculator uses the same arithmetic the guides show.
How a page is checked
Before publication every page passes a set of automated checks: each source resolves and is a primary document; the 18+ notice and the link to help and self-exclusion are present; no promotional, promissory or invented-experience wording appears; no operator hyperlink exists; no text is duplicated from another page or another site; titles, descriptions and dates are complete. A page is published only when every check passes with zero defects. A page that fails is fixed or held, never published with a note.
Review
At present no named human reviewer is published. The automated checks above are the review that exists today, and the byline on each guide links here so that nobody mistakes it for a personal endorsement. When a reviewer is named, their name and role will appear on this page and in every byline from the same day. Until then the site does not ask readers to take anything on authority; the sources are on every page for that reason.
Dates
Each page shows the date it was published and the date it was last changed. A date on a legal statement refers to the edition of the text that was read, so a tax rate carries the date of the revised Act or the notice it comes from. When a law changes, the page is updated and the change is logged on the corrections page if the earlier text was wrong at the time it was written.
Independence
No operator, supplier, tipster or advertiser pays for anything on this site, and none has any say in what is written. The income page states that the site earns nothing today and what would change first if that ever changed.
Mistakes
The site will make mistakes. A reported error is checked against the primary source, corrected on the page, and logged with the date and the nature of the change. The report route is described on the corrections page.
Readers under 18
The site is written for adults. L.N. 112 regulation 92(1)(c) treats anyone under the age of eighteen as a minor who must be kept out of gambling and its promotion, and section 109 of the Act makes betting with a child an offence. Nothing here is written to appeal to a younger reader, and no page shows a bet as play, a game or a way to make money.
